This limited-edition piece is inspired by a haiku from Chiyo-ni that stayed with me long after I first read it.

During my trip to Japan, I came across these Kyoto opals and was immediately drawn to their glow. They reminded me of moonflowers - flowers that bloom slowly, revealing their beauty only when the moment is right.

That feeling became the inspiration for this necklace.

An ode to the beauty of unfolding in your own time. To the parts of ourselves that cannot be rushed, forced, or fully seen at first glance. Like moonlight on water or petals opening at dusk, some things reveal themselves gradually.

At the heart of this necklace is a limited-edition Kyoto opal pendant from Japan, celebrated for its dreamlike play of light and colour.

The piece brings together luminous mother-of-pearl, clear Miyuki glass beads, and the Kyoto opal pendant, finished with stainless steel details.

Each piece is handcrafted to order in Lisbon, allowing us to produce thoughtfully in small batches and minimise waste.

Each piece arrives with a poem card featuring the verses that inspired its creation, connecting the piece to the story it carries.

Each Poemira piece is handmade with semi-precious gemstones and 316L stainless steel details.
Stainless steel is durable, hypoallergenic, and resistant to tarnishing, making it a beautiful material for
everyday wear. Like all treasured objects, however, your jewelry will last longer and age more gracefully
with a little care.

To Keep Your Jewelry Beautiful

Remove your jewelry before swimming, showering, exercising, or sleeping. Water, sweat, and chemicals can affect both the gemstones and metal components over time.
Put on your jewelry last, after applying perfume, lotions, sunscreen, makeup, or hairspray.
Remove your pieces before cleaning or using household products containing harsh chemicals.
Store your jewelry in a cool, dry place when not being worn.
Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, as some gemstones may naturally fade over time.

Sensitive Skin

We carefully choose nickel-free stainless steel components, making our jewelry comfortable for most
people, including many with sensitive skin. As every person is different, we cannot guarantee individual
reactions, but we strive to create jewelry that feels as good as it looks.

Every Poemira piece is handmade, which means no two are exactly alike. Slight variations in color, size,
shape, and gemstone pattern are part of the character and beauty of artisan-made jewelry and should be
celebrated rather than considered imperfections.

Shipping & Returns

We hope you love your Poemira piece. If for any reason, it isn't quite right, you may request a return within 14 days of receiving your ready-to-wear item.

To be eligible for a return, your item must:

Be unused and unworn
Be in its original condition
Be returned in its original packaging

Please note that custom and personalized pieces made specifically for you are non-refundable and non-returnable unless they arrive damaged, defective, or incorrect.

If your item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us at hello@poemira.com within 48 hours of delivery and include photos of the item and packaging.

How to Request a Return

To start a return, please email us at hello@poemira.com with your order number and reason for return.

Once your return request has been approved, we will provide instructions for sending your item back. Returns sent without prior authorization may not be processed. Customers are responsible for return shipping costs.

Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will notify you by email of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If approved, your refund will be issued to your original payment method. Please allow a few business days for the refund to appear in your account, depending on your bank or payment provider.

Late or Missing Refunds

If you haven't received your refund:

Check your bank account again.
Contact your credit card provider, as processing times can vary.

Shipping

Orders are carefully prepared and shipped from Portugal.

Shipping times and costs are calculated at checkout based on your location. Once your order has been shipped, you will receive a confirmation email with tracking information (where available).

Once an order has been handed to the shipping carrier, delivery times are outside our control. We are not responsible for delays caused by customs, weather, carrier disruptions, or other circumstances beyond our control.
